I had a very open ended concept for this piece. I chose a palette from the dozens of palettes that I’ve saved to my Pinterest board. This particular palette, and some leaves that I had cut out from some handmade paper, were my starting point. Other than these concepts, I had no idea whether this piece would end up being a geometric abstract, or a landscape, or anything really.

So, I had the camera running, recording my painting process and my rambling narrative as I gradually figured out what I wanted to do. After viewing the video, which was excruciatingly boring and confusing, I’ve realized that I’m not capable of being creative and lucid simultaneously. So, I edited it down to a tolerable length and sped up the remaining sections so you can see the process.
I love the way it turned out.
